The Clinical Coordinator, Psychotherapy provides clinical leadership and clinical documentation coordination.
This position manages the day to day clinical operation of the outpatient psychotherapy team.
Clinical supervision is under the general direction of the Network Director, Clinical Therapy Services but performed by the Clinical Coordinator for every outpatient Psychotherapist.
JOB DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Provides assessment, diagnosis, and clinical management of emotional/behavioral needs of clients via own clinical practice and supervision of clinicians in the Outpatient Behavioral Health department.
Participates as a member of the multidisciplinary team, providing mental health treatment services including diagnosis, psychotherapy, crisis intervention and ongoing care planning.
Provides individual, group, family therapy for an assigned caseload - no less than 34 hours per week of scheduled face to face clinical time.
Assists Network Director in all aspects of clinical practice.
Reports, at a minimum, weekly to Network Director with clinical issues, staffing issues, urgent and emergent clinical needs/ issues.
Oversees charting and documentation compliance and adherence to state standards for all LCSW and LPC therapists in outpatient BH at all sites.
Leads the program planning, implementation and development of quality outcome metrics with collaboration from Practice Administrators and Network Director.
Acts as a liaison between Behavioral Health Outpatient and PHP services and other departments/customers within the facility / network providing appropriate communication as needed.
Assists with responding to Critical Incidents within the network or as able, external to the network.
Provides supervision and leadership to LPCs, LCSWs and Masters level therapy interns at all outpatient BH sites via quarterly rounding sessions and monthly touch base supervision and as needed.
Coordinates with assigned support staff of continuing education credits for trainings, webinars, seminars and education for the OP therapy staff and/or medical and nursing CEUs as applicable.
Assures therapist team meetings are appropriately scheduled and works with support staff to coordinate said meetings.
Runs monthly outpatient therapy staff meetings under direction of Network Director.
Runs quarterly clinical case conference sessions with assigned psychiatrist and keeps schedule for clinical case presentation.
Interviews, hires, monitors, and evaluates Behavioral Health staff for program.
PHYSICIAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
Sitting for up to 5 hours per day, one hour at a time.
Standing for up to 1 hour per day, one hour at a time.
Walking for up to 2 hours per day, 15 minutes at a time.
Occasionally uses fingers to turn pages.
Frequently uses hands to write, type and hold and lift charts.
Rarely uses fingers or hands for firm grasping or twisting/turning.
Frequently uses upper extremities to life and carry up to 10 pounds.
Frequently stoops, occasionally squats, and rarely reaches above shoulder level.
Hearing as it relates to normal conversation in person or on telephone.
Seeing as it relates to general vision, near vision, far vision, color vision, and peripheral vision.
EDUCATION:
Masters Degree in Counseling, Social Work.
Psychology or related field with License to practice counseling or social work in the state of PA.
LPC or LCSW required.
TRAINING AND
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in an outpatient BH setting/clinic required.
