30pm, Monday-Friday Responsibilities The PC Support Technician will support the installation and troubleshooting of hardware and software applications, as they relate to personal computers and mobile devices.
The PC Support Technician will also support the existing and future installation of the local/wide area network and telephony connections within Grand View Health.
The functions of the PC Technician are:
Essential Functions:
Provides technical support for the installation of hardware and software applications that are required by the user community at Grand View Hospital.
Reviews, supports and recommends changes to the hardware and software configurations that are currently established standards.
Assists in the training of users on PC applications, as well as evaluating and coordinating user training provided by outside vendors.
Provides support for the repair or replacement of personal computers that fail to function properly.
Provides support in the configuration and installation switches and routers.
Provides support for installation of cabling (i.
e.
, CAT5, fiber, telephone).
Works with both internal and external sources in planning new projects to improve the network.
Creates and maintains proper documentation for tracking inventory and device configurations.
Creates and maintains proper documentation on the wide area network, including circuit IDs.
Works as a team member in solving technical problems that occur in the daily support of the hospital systems.
Qualifications EDUCATION ND
Experience:
Associate's degree in Computer Science or 2 to 3 years of equivalent education/PC or network support experience required.
